Local Singles Events For Busy Professionals

Local Single Women Events

Working in a hectic stock broking firm, I hardly had proper time for myself let alone a relationship. I found that local single women needed a lot of attention and that is something I cannot give presently. However one weekend, I found myself attending a local single women event to help my older sister who ran a dating service. Yes the irony was not lost on me that her own brother remained single while her business flourished matching local single women.

She needed someone to be the target at the dunk pool. I suspected it was her way of getting back at me for my childhood pranks. Thankfully most of the local single women were not good marksmen. I managed to remain dry for most of the time. My good luck (at remaining dry) soon ran out when Erica came along to take a shot at me. After her arrival at the dunk pool, I spent more time underwater than on the perch. I begged for some reprieve. With a wink and swing of her shiny dark hair, she grinned and walks away. I was thankful for that and the end of the dunk pool session.

I quickly changed to dry clothes and started mingling around. It was a refreshing break from my demanding job. I soon noticed the familiar hair and walked up to Erica. We said hello to one another as I introduced myself. She could not help making a dig at what a good swimmer I had been at the dunk pool. I found her company every enjoyable. I was surprised to learn that she worked in stock broking firm too. I had not expected anyone in the group of local single women

to be in the same profession as mine. We had a good chat and exchanged numbers. The next day, I got a call from Erica. We arranged to meet for dinner at night. For the first time in a long time, I made a concerted effort to leave office early. The effort paid off handsomely as it was most wonderful evening spent with Erica. Now a year since we got to know one another, life is not a hectic chore for me anymore but a bed of roses. My sister could not help adding with a grin, “Why else do you think I invited you that day?”
